When we're choosing a cognac, the Х.О. grade guarantees the highest quality of the liquor. This is an
unshakable standard which we trust and which we expect a lot from. Unfortunately, we don't have the
same clear indicators to follow when choosing a hotel. The star-based gradation of Ukrainian hotels is
as far from guaranteed quality as the star-based gradation of Ukrainian brandies is from the Х.О. grade.
Eventually, we got an idea to create a truly-quality hotel. Perhaps it sounds not too modest… but we did
it!
We weren't concerned too much about profit; we didn't study market, analyze competitors, or build
seasonal fluctuations charts. We didn't rack our brains over cost savings and expense reduction. We just
wanted to build a good hotel for themselves. A hotel with quality service and the feeling of unobtrusive
comfort which really helps rest, relax, and restore one's vigor. And we succeeded in that. After all,
success isn't just profit. To us, success means to receive esthetical pleasure from what we did and be
happy from seeing grateful guests coming back to us again and again.
We're not going to insist that the Х.О. Hotel is the only hotel in Ukraine offering good service. Surely,
it isn't so. Conrad Hilton promulgated basic principles of quality service a century ago, and a number
of world-renowned excellent-quality hotel chains came of age since then. They offer 'right' service
perfected in decades.
But times are changing, and today it is not enough anymore. Today, we appreciate
hand craftsmanship more than mass production, and value cozy author's hotels higher than soulless
giants. A subtle feeling of comfort is a true luxury difficult to create. Coziness cannot be made by
books or instructions – one must have a sense of it. And to do that, one has to put his soul in hotel,
something that not a single large chain can do. That makes one of the principal distinctive qualities of
the
Х.О. Hotel – the soul which we put in it. Giving a thorough thinking to every smallest detail, we
are now confident that the
Х.О. Hotel is not a stereotyped hotel and generally untypical for Ukraine.
